POTSDAM -- The owners of the Brambles Inn and Gardens, 48 Elm St. say they plan to hang up their hat after selling the bed and breakfast.
Eleanor Brotherton and her son Colin Brotherton have operated the business since 2002. It is the former residence of the late Helen Hosmer, long-time dean of the Crane School of Music.
Eleanor Brotherton hopes a future buyer will continue to operate the building as a bed and breakfast.
Although there is a "for sale" sign out front, the B&B will remain open and serve guests until the family sells the house.
