CANTON -- The following St. Lawrence University students have been awarded university fellowships in order to conduct research along with a faculty mentor during over the summer.
Aidan T.M. Scagel of Heuvelton is a member of the Class of 2018 and is majoring in biology. Scagel attended Heuvelton Central School. Scagel received the Donald K. Rose University Fellows Endowment and will be mentored by Jill Pflugheber to conduct research titled "Activated Protein Kinase R Influence on Cyclin D1 Abundance and Distribution.”
Emma J. Visser of Potsdam is a member of the Class of 2018 and is majoring in neuroscience. Visser attended Potsdam Central High School. Visser received the Donald K. Rose University Fellows Endowment and will be mentored by Adam Fox to conduct research titled "Efficacy of Two Rodent Strains as Models for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder in Humans.”
