POTSDAM — A Potsdam man was arrested for driving while ability impaired by drugs and alcohol on Pierrepont Avenue on Monday night, according to Potsdam police.
Alexander P. Durant, 25, was charged with DWAI: Drugs and alcohol, unlawful possession of marijuana, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, and consumption of an alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle, officers said.
He was also cited for failure to keep right, driving across hazard markings, improper license plates, unregistered motor vehicle and operating without insurance, police said.
Following a traffic stop for failing to keep right and driving across hazard marking, Durant failed roadside field sobriety tests, officers said.
He was transported to the police station where he was processed and released on tickets, police said.
He is due in court Nov. 7, officers said.
