MASSENA -- An irate parent led to Massena Central High School being locked down for about 12 minutes on Thursday afternoon, Village Police Chief Timmy Currier said Friday.
“We had a report of a parent in the office that wasn’t very happy,” Currier said.
Currier said no charges were filed and the parent left once police arrived. He added that the person was not threatening violence and was not carrying any weapons.
“They took precautionary steps, as is their policy,” Currier said.
Interim Superintendent of Schools William Crist did not immediately return a request for comment.
