'PJs 4 Xmas' placing drop boxes across St. Lawrence County in hopes of collecting 2,000 pairs of pajamas to donate to kids

OGDENSBURG -- PJs 4 Xmas is starting its 7th Christmas season placing drop boxes through St. Lawrence County with the goal of collecting 2,000 pairs of pajamas for local children.

Last year the organization had 1,936 children signed up to receive the gift of pajamas, and fell short by about 250 pairs.

Camille and Abby Marshall of Ogdensburg, who created the organization, said their crew of volunteers are working diligently this year to make the Christmas magic happen again for many youth in the county.

Drop Boxes are now placed in St. Lawrence County along with penny jugs for donations. A list below will show a location near you.

Drop box locations include: All Roman Catholic Communities in Morristown, Hammond and Brier Hill. In Canton locations include Coakley Carpet, North Country Savings Bank, Community Bank, St. Lawrence Federal Credit Union, Triple A, Key Bank, VFW, Kinney's, Corning Inc., Canton Day Care, United Methodist Church and Frazer Computing.

Locations in Gouverneur are Community Bank, both Kinney's Drug store locations, TLC Real Estate and Fidelis Care.

For donations in Heuvelton visit Community Bank, Amvets and Reflections Salon. Community Bank in Madrid will accept donations.

In Massena residents can contribute at Kinney's Drugs, North Country Savings Bank, Community Bank, First Niagara Bank, Maurice's, Twin Rivers Bank, Triple A and the Wood Chop Shop.

Locations in Ogdensburg include St. Lawrence Health Alliance, Claxton Hepburn Medical Center in the cafeteria, Agarwal Renal Center, Pepsi Cola, Notre Dame Church, St. Mary's Cathedral, Madill Elementary, Kennedy Elementary, Knights of Columbus, Moose Lodge, Amvets, ARC Bottle Redemption Center Seaway Industries, both branches of the St. Lawrence Federal Credit Union, both branches of Community Bank, Dunn Glass Insurance Agency, Ogdensburg superintendents office, OFA Senior High office, Kinney's Drugs, Key Bank, North Country Savings Bank, Walmart, Julie's Dance Studio, Blevins Auto Group, Mort Backus & Sons, Maurice's, Verizon Wireless, Family Dollar, all United Helper's locations, Ogdensburg Public Library, Nikki's Grooming and the Salvation Army.

Donation locations in Potsdam include both Community Bank branches, Kinney's Drugs on Maple Street, North Country Saving Bank, First Niagara Bank, Triple A, Key Bank, Elks Lodge, Verizon Wireless, CPH Radiology Department and Foxy Roxy's Restaurant

Community Bank in Waddington is accepting donations.

Penny jug locations will be held in Ogdensburg at The Dirty Gringo, Jreck's Twin Bridges, Jrecks, Dixie Lee, Moose Lodge, Phillip's Diner, Perry's Bottle Redemption, Buster's Sports Bar, Big Cheese Pizza, Doughnut King Restaurant and Agway on Park Street.

Penny jug locations in Canton include Shoulette's Bottle Redemption and Ye ol' Liquors. The Country Store in Hannawa Falls also has a penny jug.
