PIERREPONT — A Pierrepont man was charged with driving while intoxicated after crashing into a ditch Thursday, according to St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies.
Deputies allege that James O. Tupper, 62, crashed his vehicle at the intersection of County Routes 27 and 24 after failing to stop for a stop sign.
His vehicle left roadway and came to a rest in a ditch.
Following investigation deputies charged him with first-offense DWI and failure to stop at a stop sign.
He was issued tickets returnable to court at a later date, officers said.
