(Randolph Center, Vt.)- Junior Joelle Percy (Black River, N.Y.) pumped in 18 points leading the SUNY Canton women’s basketball team to a 58-49 win over Vermont Technical College Friday afternoon in Randolph Center, Vt.
Percy canned four 3-pointers helping the Roos (7-6) beat the Knights for the second time in a week, and she also had four rebounds and three steals playing all 40 minutes of Friday’s game.
SUNY Canton raced out to a 34-22 halftime lead and outrebounded the Knights 45-36.
Freshman forward Karyss Terrance (Hogansburg, N.Y.) posted her third straight double-double for SUNY Canton with 14 points and 11 rebounds, as she shot 6-for-8 from the free throw line. Junior Alicia Uhlein (Watertown, N.Y.) finished 3-for-4 from the charity stripe and had 13 points, six rebounds and three steals. Sophomore Corrine Riegel (Bainbridge, N.Y.) contributed 10 points and five boards.
Ama Baker led the Knights with a game-high 22 points and five rebounds and Paige Wells added a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds.
The Roos wrap up their Vermont swing on Saturday playing at the College of St. Joseph at 1 p.m. in Rutland.
