Congressman Bill Owens says he is heartened by news that North Lawrence Dairy will resume yogurt production as soon as next month, according to the plant’s new ownership.
“I am encouraged by recent news of North Lawrence Dairy resuming operations as they begin to hire back employees and create new jobs in the North Country,” Owens said Tuesday.
“As Congress moves forward with the 2012 Farm Bill, I will continue to fight to ensure that the dairy industry is given the tools they need to invest in Upstate New York and continue down the path of economic recovery,” the 23rd District Democrat said.
