The Pavelock for Senate Campaign says that Maria Pavelock, the endorsed Democratic candidate for the State Senate's 47th district, has won the support of three more groups representing organized labor.
The Central New York Chapter, Region 9, of the United Auto Workers, the Central and Northern New York Building and Construction Trades Council, and the Plumbers and Steamfitter’s Union, Local 73, have each announced that they have given their endorsement in this race to Pavelock.
The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), Local Union 43, already has endorsed Pavelock.
“I will work tirelessly to encourage the kind of economic development necessary to generate more high wage jobs and to build a strong economy for all New Yorkers,” Pavelock said in announcing the endorsements.
Pavelock also has the endorsements of the Oneida, St. Lawrence, and Lewis County Democratic Parties.
Since coming to America on the 4th of July in 1979, Pavelock has become an educator, a businesswoman with international experience, a mother, and a community leader.
A member of the Solidarity movement in her native Poland as a college student, Pavelock says she understands and values the contributions of working men and women to our society.
Pavelock is in a contest with 47th District Sen. Joe Griffo of Oneida County, a Republican.
