POTSDAM -- An owl that that was hanging around Monday on SUNY Potsdam campus drew a crowd and was later taken in for medical evaluation.
Caroline Leslie, who submitted the photo above, says the owl was in a tree near Timmerman Hall and people took notice of the bird throughout the day.
The owl was being cared for by trained professionals from Adirondack Raptors, according to a Facebook post on a page called “Overheard at SUNY Potsdam.”
A comment on the post noted that the owl was being treated for dehydration and possible malnourishment.
