To the Editor:
Trust is an essential element of any relationship and that is what is missing today. People have lost faith that the government has the people’s interest in mind. Some even feel our country has become an oligarchy, controlled by the wealthiest, one percent.
Thus, we have President Trump in the White House telling folks he intends to clean out the swamp. Some people believe him, but he has only his best interest in mind and looks to destroy what is working in our government: the balance of power.
I agree with Trump and his supporters that our national government is broken. But instead of cleaning it up, I think he is taking advantage of everything that is broken and is making it worse, not better. And his record speaks for itself, he cannot be trusted.
What is the solution to the complex problems of our times? Elect people you can trust and send them to Washington.
That is why we need Tedra Cobb to replace Elise Stefanik in November. She has shown her strengths and honesty on a local level. She is a creative problem solver that reaches across the aisle and listens openly to everyone at the table. We can trust her.
Do you want to restore trust in our government? Vote for Tedra on June 26 and Nov 6!
