To the Editor:
This letter is directed to the heartless person who deliberately left a young male ginger-colored cat at the private campground at Beckstead Drive, Parishville.
The pathetic creature meowed and begged for food several days until we were able to capture it in a have-a-heart trap and safely deliver him to Potsdam Humane Society where he was taken care of promptly by the dedicated staff there.
Heartfelt thanks to them.
He is now in isolation to be tested, treated for a cold, vaccinated, neutered and will soon be ready for adoption to a loving forever home,
The previous owner should have tended to this rather than abandoning him to risk his life suffering cold nights, hunger and fear.
I have nothing but contempt for such a cruel person.
Violet Burnham
