The flags over the last year or so have been raised and lowered, what seems way too much.
However, the flags have been so, as it has been ordered either by the president, in case of President Bush's passing, or the governor to honor fallen service members, police officers etcetera, and upon days of remembrance.
In the case of President Bush's passing the flags were lowered for almost a month.
Flags for deaths have been flown from notification until internment.
And I think the veterans we have are grateful that their fallen brothers and sisters are being remembered.
