OGDENSBURG – Walmart customers in Ogdensburg will be welcomed inside the newly transformed store at 3000 Ford Street on Tuesday, July 18 as the much-anticipated remodeling is now complete.

Walmart associates will mark the occasion with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, community celebration, and the unveiling of a community-inspired mural.

To reinforce Walmart’s dedication to the communities it serves, the store manager will present an $1,800 grant to the Ogdensburg Snackpack Program and $1,000 to the Brier Hill Fire Company.

During the celebration, Walmart store manager Jordan Snyder will honor associates, including 13 who have been with the store since it opened in 1995. Snyder also will highlight the store’s transformations, as well as the new, interactive features now available to customers.

New features includes:

• Expanded fresh grocery section featuring an array of seasonal produce, pre-sliced deli, and bakery items.

• Reconfigured store layout, providing more convenient access to highly-shopped areas.

• Improvements at checkout to streamline the process of checking out for customers. The store features new, self-checkout register lanes.

• Refreshed interior and exterior, including paint and signage for easier navigation through the stores.

• Enhanced health services, including a new customer consultation room.

The grand re-opening celebration will include local food and ice cream trucks and product samples from Walmart suppliers.
