A couple from Morristown and a man from Ogdensburg have been charged with felony marijuana possession with other charges pending after a coordinated bust Thursday.
Seized were about 10 pounds of pot, $26,400 in cash, and three guns.
Held without bail are George S. Joanette, 54, and Marybeth Joanette, 45, of 201 English Settlement Rd, Morristown, and Timothy J. Herbick, 53, 925 Mansion Ave., Ogdensburg.
The St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office reports that, in a continuing investigation by the county Drug Task Force, a vehicle stop was made along County Rt. 6 in Oswegatchie and search warrants were for both addresses were executed at about 4 p.m.
All three suspects have been charged with second-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a Class D felony. They were arraigned and ordered held without bail in the St. Lawrence County jail pending future court proceedings.
The investigation involved the sheriff’s department, state police, U.S. Department of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the county district attorney’s office, and the Ogdensburg, Gouverneur, Potsdam, Massena and Canton police departments.
