St. Lawrence County District Attorney Gary M. Pasqua reported Monday that Clifford Mayette, 53, was sentenced to an aggregate term of 140 years to Life in prison.
On Oct. 28, Mayette was convicted of six counts of Predatory Sexual Assault upon a Child, one count of second-dgree rape, three counts of third-degree rape and two countsof first-degree sexual abuse.
Evidence at trial established that between 2012 and 2021, the defendant perpetrated multiple acts of rape and sexual abuse against of child with whom he was acquainted.
D.A. Pasqua commends Deputy Chief Assistant District Attorney Joshua Haberkornhalm and Assistant District Attorney Matthew Peabody for their hard work and skilled prosecution.
D.A. Pasqua also thanked the Ogdensburg Police Department and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Homeland Security Investigations, for their assistance with the prosecution.
