OGDENSBURG -- An Ogdensburg man was jailed for allegedly striking a man with his fists and knee numerous times Wednesday evening on Lee Drive, according to state police.
Troopers said they responded at approximately 5:45 p.m. to a residence on Lee Drive for a report of an order of protection violation.
Lance G. Breyette, 19, was reportedly involved in a physical altercation with a 48-year old male at that address in violation of a stay-away order of protection issued by the Oswegatchie Town Court.
Breyette allegedly attacked the male by punching him numerous times and striking him in the head with his knee. He also reportedly made verbal threats to kill the victim.
When troopers arrived on scene, Breyette attempted to avoid custody by running into the woods. He was eventually apprehended, officers said.
He was reportedly charged with first-degree criminal contempt, felony, two counts second-degree harassment and resisting arrest.
Breyette was arraigned in the Oswegatchie Town Court and remanded to St. Lawrence County Jail in lieu of bail, officers said.
