Officer Zachary M. Montroy of Ogdensburg is one of the 39 new New York State Park Police members who completed a six-month residential training program at the State Park Police Academy near Albany.
Montroy will be posted to the Long Island zone of the Long Island Metro District for his initial assignment.
He and the other graduates will serve in some of New York's 180 parks and 35 state historic sites, which attract more than 74 million visitors each year.
