Ogdensburg police say Matthew Robert Bowman, 39, was charged on Jan. 2 with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon (D Felony) after shots were fired in the 400 block of Oak Street.
According to police, an investigation was opened and a search warrant issued for 418 Oak St. which then led to a second warrant being issued for 309 King St. where three guns were located and seized.
Police say a 9mm handgun, 20 gauge shotgun and what police describe as an assault rifle were seized.
Bowman was subsequently arrested and arraigned in Ogdensburg City Court. [img_assist|nid=332892|title=|desc=|link=none|align=right|width=220|height=165]
He was released on his own recognizance.
Ogdensburg police were assisted by the St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office and confidential investigator Daniel Mousaw from the St. Lawrence County District Attorney’s office.
