OGDENSBURG – More than 5,500 people attended the Ogdensburg Expo helping the raise nearly $90,000 for the Boys and Girls Club.
“Expo 2018 to benefit the Ogdensburg Boys and Girls Club turned out to be a great weekend for the club. All though the final numbers aren't in yet it looks like that the net profit will be close to the $90,000 needed to help offset about a quarter of the clubs operating budget,” Director Tom Luckie said.
"We are so appreciative to all who supported Expo, it is so critical to the club and is our major fundraiser. The event would not be possible without the Board of Directors and hundreds of other volunteers who give up the time to assist. We are so thankful to them, our vendors, crafters and exhibitors who make the event possible as well as the Ogdensburg City School District,” Lukie said.
The event relies heavily on community donations and support. Luckie offered his appreciation to all who help make it possible.
“We also wish to thank those who donated prizes for our raffle tickets and all who purchase tickets. The club continues to play a critical role in impacting youth from Ogdensburg and the surrounding communities and it continues to be possible because of the support we receive in many ways," Luckie said.
