OGDENSBURG -- Since opening its doors in 2016, the United Helpers Behavioral Health Clinic has gone from a brand new practice looking for patients to booking more than 1,500 appointments each month.

The clinic, which has been located at 221 Hamilton Street since its inception, is now located at United Helpers RiverLedge Campus, 8101 State Highway 68 in the former Ogdensburg Rehabilitation and Senior Care Building.

“We were really maxed out at our original location,” said Director of Behavioral Health Services David K. Nelson. “This move will allow us to bring on additional practitioners, which in turn will allow us to see additional patients and help more people than ever before.”

People who receive services through the clinic in Ogdensburg will be receiving notification of the move through a postcard sent to their home address. The clinic's telephone number did not change.

United Helpers CEO Todd R. Amo said the move comes as part of the organization’s effort to centralize their operations.

“It’s not often that you can say you’re growing while also streamlining operations, but that’s exactly what is happening here,” Mr. Amo said. “All areas of our mental health services continue to grow exponentially including Care Coordination, the ACT Team, Supportive Housing and both of our Behavioral Health Clinics.”

Both the clinic in Ogdensburg and the clinic in Canton are open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with early morning or evening appointments available upon request. To schedule an appointment in Ogdensburg, please call (315) 541-3042. For an appointment in Canton, please call (315) 386-0264.

Patrons receiving services in Ogdensburg are asked to enter the building through its main entrance on the back side of the property by the flagpole. Guests will be greeted upon entry and accompanied to the clinic space.
