OGDENSBURG—The City of Ogdensburg’s 2011 Citizen’s Survey has been published, and generally gives the city favorable marks.
The results of each of the five consecutive years of the Citizens Survey are shown graphically and annotated.
Majorities of respondents said they consider streets in their neighborhoods to be clean, parks and other city facilities were excellent or good, streets and sidewalks were in good to excellent condition, and that they felt safe walking throughout the city during the day.
Most people said they felt safe walking around their neighborhoods at night, but most did not feel safe walking around most of the city at night.
The Citizens Survey is part of the Strategic Management Plan process to meet the vision and goals of the City.
“We highly value the results of the Citizens Survey because it gives us the greatest balance of opinion from a cross-section of the community,” said City Manager Arthur Sciorra.
