POTSDAM -- Oboist Gregory Weissman will present a guest artist recital entitled "Romanze: Romantic Works for Oboe and Piano" at SUNY Potsdam's Crane School of Music Tuesday, March 1 at 7:30 p.m. in Snell Music Theater. Weissman will perform on the oboe alongside Julie Miller on piano.
The recital will feature two pieces by Gabriel Fauré, "Pièce" and "Sicilienne, Op. 78," followed by Robert Schumann's "Drei Romanzen, Op. 94," consisting of three movements. The duo will also present Sergey Rachmaninoff's "Vocalise" from the artist's "14 Songs, Op. 34."
The performance will conclude with Antonio Pasculli's "Concerto on themes from Donizetti's 'La Favorita.'" This event is free, and the public is invited to attend.
