GOUVERNEUR – Nurse Practitioner Phillip Cicco has joined the Emergency Medicine team at Gouverneur Hospital.
Cicco earned his Master of Science degree as a Family Practice Nurse Practitioner from SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY; where he also received his board certification as a Registered Nurse (RN), and was a cum laude graduate.
Cicco comes to St. Lawrence Health with experience as an Emergency Services NP, Clinical Preceptor, and Medical-Surgical Unit RN.
“I am truly excited to become a part of the North Country community, while representing the St. Lawrence Health medical team at Gouverneur Hospital,” he said.
“I welcome new challenges and embrace change. My dedicated commitment and true passion for emergency medicine aligns with the SLH Mission Statement that speaks of providing skilled and compassionate care to promote community wellness,” Cicco added. “My goal is clear; leave this world better off from when I entered it.”
As an Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner, Cicco provides critical care to patients who present at the Emergency Department by diagnosing and treating their acute symptoms.
