NORWOOD -- Norwood-Norfolk Central School recently named its middle school students of the quarter for the fourth quarter.
Teachers from grades five to eight chose two students from each grade level who demonstrated the qualities of academic success, good citizenship, school and community involvement and leadership, according to a press release.
Students received a plaque and homework pass, as well as a special fieldtrip to climb Azure Mountain in St. Regis Falls.
Molly Gardner, Gavin Phillips, Samantha Munson, Emma Wells, Nichalos Burke, Alyvia Weegar, Samantha Monroe, and Anneke Chudzinksi were chosen as students of the quarter.
Grade five teachers also chose a “Flyer of the Quarter,” sponsored by the Potsdam Elks Club.
Flyers of the quarter demonstrate “sportsmanship, courtesy, responsibility, caring and have a positive attitude,” according to the release.
Sophie Lauzon was chosen as the flyer of the quarter.
