POTSDAM – A Norwood man accused of aggressive driving faces charges of harassment and numerous traffic offenses after another driver took a photo of his license plate and complained to police.
Kennin K. Snyder, 25, has been charged with following too closely, unsafe passing, speeding, unattended motor vehicle, and second-degree harassment.
Potsdam police said that they received a complaint from “a diligent motorist” that, at about 3 p.m. Sunday, a vehicle northbound on State Rt. 56 south of the village had followed a vehicle too closely on entering the village and tried to pass three vehicles in the no-passing zone on Pierrepont Avenue, but had to abort the attempt when another vehicle entered the center lane ahead of him to make a left turn.
Then he tried the pass again, passing two vehicles at a speed above the limit, according to police.
When he stopped at a red light at Park and Elm, the motorist behind him stopped and took a photo of his license plate with her cell phone.
Upon seeing this, the defendant left his vehicle and approached the motorist behind him waving his arms and yelling, police said.
Snyder was issued tickets returnable in Village Court March 7.
