NORWOOD – The winners of the Norwood Library’s Create a Christmas Card Contest, Children’s Holiday Reading Contest, and the Friends of the Norwood Library Logo Contest have been announced, along with raffle winners.
The winners were announced at the library’s annual Christmas party Dec. 14.
Library patrons who were awarded prizes for their original Christmas cards were: first place, Melinda Gladding, second Geri Mitchell, and third Jeannette Gravelle.
The Children’s Reading Contest winners were Eva Donahue, who read 68 books, and Lance Crowley, with 58 books read.
The grand prize winner for the Logo Contest was Tyler Perry. Joe Sawyer, Johanna Carpenter and Sidney Jarvis won prizes in their respective age groups for their drawings.
The lucky raffle winners were: James McFadden, water color painting and medium Afghan; Barbara Lustiyck, large Afghan; Joan Ladouceur, Laurie’s Casual Cuts gift certificate; Millie Relyea, Ashley House gift certificate; Tim Strong, $50 cash prize; Raelee Simcox, bird house; and Liam McGinnis, brownie pan
The library staff note that the greatest gift the Norwood Library received this year was the faith and support of the community that voted to fund the library.
