NORWOOD -- The Norwood Lake Association held its annual dinner at the American Legion recently.
Secretary Elaine Saarinen received the "Citizen of Year Award", for outstanding service to members. The award was presented to Saarinen by President James McFaddin.
Saarinen often challenges members to work harder to ensure the success of the many projects the association is involved in, McFaddin said.
Michael Twiss of Clarkson University updated members on the need to develop a plan to control the milfoil present in Norwood Lake. Twiss is expected to work with the association to develop an action plan before milfoil can become firmly established.
