NORWOOD — The Norwood American Legion takes on new look with the clearing of a wooded, wet area next to the Post.
“It took the Sons of the American Legion members approximately two years to complete the project with donations and volunteer time from many members and local businesses,” said Elaine A. Saarinen, commander.
Blue spruce trees were purchased from Northrups Nursery & Landscaping and planted to make the area attractive and provide privacy.
The legion wishes to express special thanks to those who volunteered and to local business who donated including Fiacco & Riley, TJ Fiacco, Frank Davey Contracting, Sheehan’s, ST Trucking, Barrett’s, Norwood DPW, Heritage Homes, Merriman’s, Potsdam Plumbing, Potsdam Agway, Cornerstone, Cotter Construction, Bob's Auto and Milt Snell.
