NORFOLK — The Annual Norfolk Fall Festival is scheduled for Sept. 29-Oct. 2 with events and activities for all ages and interests.
Events officially kick off Thursday, at 6 p.m. with the Kick off spaghetti dinner at the Norfolk Fire Department.
Friday events include: 4-8 p.m. carnival rides by Green Mountain Amusements at the Dominic Zappia Arena and food trucks; 5pm- Story Hour @ the Hepburn Library of Norfolk. 6:00 pm- Halloween Hunt @ Dominic Zappia Arena. Kids hunt for bags of Halloween candy. While supplies last. 8:30 pm-Fireworks @ the Raquette River Golf Course, 9020 NY-56 (Rain date is Sunday)
Saturday, 10:00 am-3:00 pm-Vendor Fair at Dominic Zappia Arena. 12pm-9pm Carnival Rides by Green Mountain Amusements @ the Dominic Zappia Arena. 9 a.m.-12 p.m. - Book sale @ the Hepburn Library of Norfolk. 12-4 p.m. - Petting Zoo, horse rides for $3. 12-4 p.m. - Lena the Lizard Lady. 1 p.m. - Parade down main street, Norfolk. 2 p.m. - Belly Dancers. 7 p.m. - Corn hole tournament & Movie showing @ the Dominic Zappia Arena. All DAY - Food trucks.
Sunday, closing day – 8-11 a.m.- Closing Breakfast @ Norfolk American Legion. 11 a.m. - Pumpkin' Chuckin' Contest @ Haggett's Farm (1504 River Road, Norwood)
Other festival events include:
• Storywalk in Raymondville at playground (9/23-10/3)
• Sidewalk chalk contest, k-5th submit entries on Facebook (9/24-9/30)
• Photo scavenger hunt, submit entries on Facebook, Locations: Al Smiths, American Legion, Cafe 56, Fire Station, Library, Museum, Rescue Squad, Sandlots, Raymondville playground and Town Hall (9/24-9/30) -Whistle Stop Sale
• House Decorating contest, submit on Facebook or by calling (315)957-9206 (submit by 9/28)
• Trinity Golf on RIver Road, Norfolk will hold an 9 hole special for $15 per person with cart. $25 with cart for 18 holes.
