Potsdam Town Clerk Cindy Goliber was named the 2024 Town Clerk of the Year by the New York State Town Clerks Association (NYSTCA). 

Goliber has served as the Town Clerk of Potsdam for 28 years and has been a member of the New York State Town Clerks Association for 23 years.  

She received this honor on April 23 at the annual NYSTCA conference held at the Desmond Crowne Plaza in Albany. 

This prestigious award fully recognizes and appreciates the dedication, commitment, and service that Goliber provides to her community as well as the professional competency in fulfilling the responsibilities of her office. She has demonstrated to her peers and members on NYSTCA that she respects and adheres to the educational and specialized standards established by NYSTCA.

NYSTCA members Heidi Smith, Town Clerk of Canton and District 9 Director, Tracy Villnave, Town Clerk of Lawrence, NYSTCA Treasurer and St. Lawrence County Association President along with Connie Maguire, Town Clerk of Parishville, Julian “Olla” Filiatrault, Town Clerk of Pierrepont and Richard Powers, Town Clerk of Hopkinton made an honorary presentation to Goliber at the Potsdam Town Board meeting on May 16.
