MASSENA – Board Certified physician Nigelarani Sivapalasingam, MD, has joined the Massena Hospital medical team, and is providing primary care services at the Louisville Health Center, 10 State Highway 37B, Massena.

Dr. Siva comes to St. Lawrence Health with extensive experience in working with geriatric patients, and those in acute care, and long-term care. 

Upon coming to the North Country, she noted the services provided throughout the system, along with the beauty of the region, were an enormous draw for her. 

“Massena Hospital, and the whole of St. Lawrence Health, have nearly all the facilities and specialties in a peaceful, non-congested area that you would find in a bustling city. Patients do not have to wait a long time to get an appointment to see their provider,” Dr. Siva said. “It gives me a calming mindset to be able to provide a quality of service to the residents in the area.” 

As a Primary Care physician, Dr. Siva performs and/or requests diagnostic tests, makes diagnoses, prescribes treatments, administers vaccinations, and performs follow-up examinations for adults 18 years and above.
