OGDENSBURG -- Suzanne Arquette was named city assessor Wednesday, replacing Bruce Green, who resigned from the position May 23.
Arquette was sworn in the following day, according to public update from the City Manager Sarah Purdy. She formerly served as clerk in the assessment office.
“In this transition there will be a short period of time where the clerk position is not filled. Since this is a particularly busy time of year for this office, Cindy Ghize has gracefully accepted to help our office as clerk/receptionist from 9 - 11 a.m. each day. She will be answering the phone, scheduling appointments with the assessor and doing some filing. A couple days a week, if needed, we will have afternoon coverage by Coralee Barrett,” the Purdy said in the update.
Purdy said appointments to discuss assessments will be available from 9 to 11 a.m. and from 1 to 3 p.m. only.
Grievance Day is set for June 20, with board hearings planned from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Grievance Forms are available on the City of Ogdensburg website at www.ogdensburg.org/ government/departments/assessments/applications and forms/grievance form.
Final Assessments rolls will be filed by Aug. 1.
