The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a winter storm warning through Feb. 10 as five to eleven inches of snow is predicted in St. Lawrence County.
Snowfall accumulations will range from one to three inches today with blustery, northeast winds of 18 to 21 mph, NWS says.
The high today will be around 12 with wind chill values as low as -14, the service says.
Overnight snowfall will be around one to three inches with winds strengthening to around 18 to 24 mph making the wind chill factor -12, TWS says.
Winds and cold temperatures will continue Monday along with more snow. New snow accumulation is expected to be 2 to 4 inches.
Highs on Monday will be around 17 with a wind chill value around -11, the service says.
Snow will begin to taper off Monday night around 9 p.m. with around an inch possible mainly before 9 p.m., TWS says.
The low will reportedly be around 8 degree with a wind chill factor of -1.
The forecast for the remained of the week is as follows:
Monday Light snow. High near 17. Wind chill values as low as -11. Blustery, with a northeast wind 13 to 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.
Monday Night Light snow likely, mainly before 9pm. Cloudy, with a low around 8. Wind chill values as low as -1. Northeast wind 6 to 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of around an inch possible.
Tuesday Partly sunny, with a high near 21. Northeast wind around 7 mph.
Tuesday Night Partly cloudy, with a low around -1. North wind around 7 mph.
Wednesday Mostly cloudy, with a high near 15. Northeast wind around 7 mph.
Wednesday Night A 50 percent chance of snow showers. Cloudy, with a low around 6. East wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.
Thursday A 50 percent chance of snow. Cloudy, with a high near 13. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.
Thursday Night A 40 percent chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around -10. Northwest wind 11 to 13 mph.
Friday Partly sunny and cold, with a high near 2. Northwest wind around 11 mph.
Friday Night Partly cloudy, with a low around -15. West wind 7 to 10 mph.
Saturday Partly sunny and cold, with a high near 8. Southwest wind around 8 mph.
