A trio of athletes with St. Lawrence ties will compete in the 2015 US Bobsled National Championships at Lake Placid Friday.
Senior track and field standout Shawn Lillie and former softball player Leslie Stratton will join former graduate assistant track and field coach Kelly Curtis in the field which includes members of the US Development program in addition to the national men's and women's teams.
Lillie will push for Geoff Gadbois in the men's two man race.
"Coach Kelly (Curtis) called me Sunday asking if I wanted to push for her old driver for this past Tuesday and I said yes. Then yesterday I was called by Geoff asking if I would push for him today and then tomorrow in the race. He saw my push times and asked Kelly for my number to get in contact with me!" said Lille, who will compete in his first bobsled championship.
