POTSDAM – SUNY Potsdam's Department of Theatre and Dance, in partnership with the Crane Opera Ensemble and Orchestra, performs the musical "On the Town" Friday and Saturday, Nov. 11-13 at 7:30 p.m. in Snell Theatre.
"On the Town," with music by Leonard Bernstein and lyrics and book by Betty Comden and Adolph Green, premiered on Broadway in 1944. It tells the story of three sailors visiting New York City for the first time while on 24-hour shore leave.
Ticket prices are $12 for general admission and $8 for faculty, staff, senior citizens and students.
The cast of 35 students includes students from the North Country: Erin Higgins and Abraham Myler from Potsdam and Meghan Watson from Canton.
Tickets can be purchased through the Community Performance Series Box Office by calling 267-2277 or visiting www.cpspotsdam.org, or by visiting Northern Music & Video in downtown Potsdam.
Tickets may also be purchased at the door one hour before the performance, as available.
