POTSDAM -- An informational meeting about a music program for senior adults who wish to learn to play a concert band instrument will take place 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16 in the Potsdam Civic Center community room.
Adults with no musical experience, or experience long ago, are welcome.
As rehearsals are during the weekday, the band consists mostly of, but is not limited to, retirees.
The band is sponsored by New Horizons, started locally by Ron Berry, the conductor.
Instructors are Crane School of Music students guided by Michael Schaff, associate professor. More info: Ron Berry, 265-2883 or NewHorizonsNNY@gmail.com
