RB Lawrence of Morristown and his sister, Judy Lawrence Gray, in Seward, Alaska recently paid homage to their grandfather by traveling to Alaska.
RB tells us that on July 13, 1910, his grandfather, Russell B. Lawrence, sent a postcard from Seward, seen in this photo, to their great-grandfather, Millard D. Lawrence, in Canton,
“Today (still September 14,2019) my sister, Judy L.(awrence) Gray and I returned to the Seward, AK post office and got some people to take our pictures holding the same post card,” RB wrote in an email.
“I know it’s kinda corny but it’s something that might be interesting to some peps other than ourselves... thought you might find it interesting to your ‘followers’” the email said.
That postcard and many others were found by the siblings’ cousin, William L. Glascock, among the artifacts of his mother, Ruth Lawrence Glascock.
