BY MATT LINDSEYNorth Country This WeekMORRISTOWN — Green Door Dispensary, a planned New York State licensed retail cannabis store, is hosting a job fair to hire cannabis dispensary management and staff.
The store hopes to open in April.
The job fair will take place Saturday, March 23, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Green Door Dispensary Store, 3748 State Highway 37.
This event provides a chance for job seekers to gain insight into open positions, and learn more about available job opportunities. The company will be interviewing for full time and part time positions for store managers and budtenders
Prior retail experience is preferred but not required. Training in retail cannabis operations will be provided for these positions.
DLM Retail co-owner Dale White said Morristown was chosen as it is centrally located between Watertown and Plattsburgh with not a lot of competition nearby.
The business will sell all available cannabis products including flower, edibles, concentrates, and more, White said.
Pending final inspection and store-opening approval by NYS and training of employees, White said he anticipates opening sometime next month.
