CANTON – The smell of barbecue is now wafting through downtown Canton.
Morgan’s BBQ Pit Stop opened for business on Wednesday at 13 Hodskin St.
Owner Lisa Morgan and husband Michael, the chef, have operated a food truck for two years and decided to feature their BBQ fare on a regular basis.
Morgan said his food is all based on a Central Texas style barbecue. The Morgans are joined by two employees.
The menu includes pulled pork, brisket, turkey, and crispy BBQ chicken sandwiches, pulled pork burrito, crispy chicken salad, smoked sausage, smoked macaroni and cheese, BBQ macaroni salad, corn casserole, loaded ranch potato salad, cole slaw, baked beans, and French fries.
Hours are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, 4 to 8 p.m. on Saturday; closed Sunday and Monday.
