AKWESASNE -- After getting rained out last week, Mohawk International Raceway will return to action this Friday night with the Twin Leaf Convenience Stores Lightning Sprints, as well as the Frenchie’s Ford “Go Further” Sportsman Series that was postponed from last week.
The track will also have a regular show for the Modifieds and Bandits, but the Mod Lites will not be on the schedule for Friday night.
MIR will also host their first racer loyalty draw, and Kids Club members will participate in the Big Wheel races at intermission.
Friday night will also be Minor Sports Night. Each child will receive free popcorn for wearing a team jersey to the track.
Admission for Friday night’s event is $14 for adults and $12 for seniors. Kids 12 and under get in for free. Pit admission is $30 with DIRTcar license, and $35 without. All prices are listed in U.S. funds. There is a 10 percent exchange rate for Canadian currency. Pit gates open at 4:30 p.m. and the general admission area will open at 5.
