AKWESASNE -- Mohawk International Raceway officials have postponed the Atomic Spring Clash until May 4 due to track conditions.
It will be a one-day event with Empire Super Sprints with a $2,000 top prize, along with the Fission 50 for the Go Nuclear Late Models (Twin 25 lap Features) paying $1,000 each for a win, and an additional $500 bonus to the best combined finish for the two events.
The second Late Model feature lineup will be determined by a “roll of the dice” inversion. There will also be a $1,000-prize Sportsman event on the schedule, though it will not be part of the DIRTcar Series.
Admission for the event is $20 for adults and $8 for ages eight to 15. Kids under age eight get in free.
Pit gates open at 10 a.m., general admission at noon. "Legends of the North" autograph session is at 1 p.m. Hot laps begin at 2 p.m. and heat races start at 3 p.m.
