CANTON — A missing person investigation ended tragically Saturday morning.
St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies said they received a request from concerned family members for a welfare check on a missing Canton resident.
Deputies said village police located the missing person’s vehicle in a municipal lot off Riverside Drive and the individual was found deceased inside.
There is no risk to the public, officers said.
Deputies said the investigation is ongoing.
The name of the deceased was not made public.
