Gerald H. Bennett, 42, Ogdensburg, and Jade R. Harper, 39, Heuvelton, have both been charged by state police with one count each of felony possession of marijuana.
Troopers said they arrested Bennett on Nov. 5 and Harper early Monday, charging them both with first-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a Class C felony.
After their arrest by the New York State Police, Troop B Narcotics Enforcement Unit, they were arraigned by Judge Lisa Whitmarsh in Town of Morristown Court and released to the supervision of the county Probation Department.
The arrests stem from a marijuana investigation that began in September in DePeyster, troopers said.
Troopers were assisted by New York State Forest Rangers, St. Lawrence County Sheriff's Department, St. Lawrence County Drug Task Force, St. Lawrence County District Attorney's Office and Ogdensburg and Gouverneur police departments.
