NORWOOD -- The newly formed North Country Community Chorus, formerly the Norwood-Norfolk CC, is seeking new members for its Christmas Cantata.
The cantata, "What Child is This" arranged by Joel Raney, features a variety of Christmas songs and narrations which tell the story of Christ's birth. This year, the chorus will be accompanied by a 12-piece orchestra.
The group’s children's choir (open to grades K-12) will perform three songs in the presentation.
Both groups are open to anyone with a love of singing. Singers 10 and older only participate in the adult group.
Rehearsals begin Sept. 30 from 5:45-6:30 p.m. for the Kids' Choir, and 6:30-8:15 p.m. for cantata practice at the First United Methodist Church, 10 Prospect St.
Singers should register in advance so music is ready at the first rehearsal.
