Oswego, NY – Zach Meade (Tupper Lake, NY) shot a three-over par 74 to finish tied for fourth place as the men's golf team placed sixth at the Oswego State Fall Invitational on Monday at Oswego Country Club.
The Roos tallied a team score of 321 to finish sixth out of the 10-team field. Meade finished just two strokes off the pace as SUNY Potsdam's Conor Talty captured medalist honors with a one-over 72.
Nolan Reid (Champlain, NY) recorded an eight-over 79 to finish in 17th place individually, while Carter Brock (Albany, NY) posted a round of 80. Jeff Mott (Waddington, NY) and Matthew Russell (Cranberry Lake, NY) completed the scoring for the Roos carding an 88 and 96, respectively.
SUNY Delhi captured the team title with 299 strokes, while Oswego State and SUNY Potsdam tied for second with 310. The Roos defeated Hobart (324), Morrisville State (337), Keuka (359) and SUNY ESF (360).
The men's golf team returns home when they host the SUNY Canton Invitational on Friday at Partridge Run Golf & Country Club. Tee times are set for 1:00 p.m.
