MASSENA -- The Town Council meeting this week is being moved to Thursday night, and the Massena Memorial Hospital board chairperson will have her removal hearing prior to that.
The town board meeting is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21.
Town Supervisor Steve O’Shaughnessy is trying to fire Carol Fenton from the MMH board after having served as chair for about two weeks.
She is entitled to a hearing before the termination is official and it will be at 5 p.m.
Both the hearing and meeting will be at the Town Hall in room 30 upstairs.
More about Fenton’s firing is here.
O’Shaughnessy on the same day as Fenton also sent a notice of termination to MMH board vice chair Dave MacLennan. The supervisor said MacLennan has not requested a hearing.
