MASSENA – The Board of Education on Thursday approved the following personnel actions:
• Appointed Jarilyn Young as a half-time special education teacher effective Jan. 6 at Madison Elementary at a pro-rated salary of $19,066. She is a certified elementary teacher.
• Appointed Kenneth Chapman as a five-hour-per-day bus driver effective Jan. 17 at a $20,663 pro-rated salary.
• Called back Judy Jackson as a six-hour-per-day senior food service manager for Nightengale Elementary effective Dec. 10. She will receive an $18,465 pro-rated salary.
• Appointed Jean Alexander as a cleaner at Jefferson Elementary effective Jan. 17. She will receive a $26,106 pro-rated salary.
• Appointed Lynne Dufresne as a three-hour-per-day food service worker at Madison Elementary effective Jan. 17 at an $8,393 pro-rated salary.
• Named to the substitute list: Robert Dale, Carisa Barse, Margaret Mauch, Philip Horsley, Emma Siddon, Esther Barnum, Leigha Burkhalter, Katie Collette, Maureen Klages, Roger Snyder and Jessica Arcet.
• Accepted a resignation from Jessalyn Clary, high school cheerleading coach, effective Dec. 10. Clary cited personal reasons.
• Accepted modified baseball coach Daniel Haley’s resignation, effective Jan. 10. Haley cited personal reasons.
