MASSENA -- A Massena man is jailed for allegedly robbing a cab driver on Tuesday, according to village police.
Kristopher G. Brothers, 22, of 109 Bishop Ave. is charged with third-degree robbery, felony, along theft of services and petit larceny, both misdemeanors and second-degree harassment, violation, police said.
Denis Lacomb, who runs a cab service in Ogdensburg, told police that he picked up Brothers at Price Chopper to drive him to Massena.
He stopped at 2 Willow St. and Brothers punched him in the face, threw a soda at him, grabbed a money bag containing $204 and gas receipts and fled into the woods behind Trombino’s, Lacomb told police.
Brothers was arraigned by Massena Town Justice Gerald Sharlow and remanded to the St. Lawrence County jail, Canton, in lieu of $5,000 bail or $10,000 bond, police said.
