HOPKINTON – A Massena man is in county jail after he allegedly broke into his ex-girlfriend's home and got into an physical confrontation with her and another man at 12:30 a.m. Thursday, St. Lawrence County Sheriff's Deputies report.
Keith J. Gonyou III, 21, 140 Liberty Ave., Massena, was charged with second-degree burglary, a class C felony, and misdemeanor counts of fourth-degree criminal mischief and third-degree menacing.
Deputies allege Gonyou went to his ex-girlfriend's home and broke the front door open, gaining access to the house. He then got into a fight with the woman and the other male.
Gonyou was arraigned in Hopkinton Town Court in front of Judge Beekman and remanded to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility on $1,000 cash bail or $2,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in Hopkinton Town Court on Jan. 4 for further proceedings.
